Learn While Playing And Having Fun. What a Concept!- Portions of Market Wire News Release from a golf academy below.

New Golf School Format Bridges the Gap Between the Driving Range and the Golf Course
TAHOE CITY, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 12/15/2003 -- Taking a break from the usual range-hitting, golf-teaching school format, North American Golf Academies teaching staff drives motivation with actual play lessons. The Golf Academies five-school agenda carts students to a different championship course each day where they receive customized playing instruction. Students also do two hours of customized range instruction as well, followed by video analysis and then an 18-hole playing lesson. The student-teacher ratio is an amazing two-to-one.

Said company spokesman Mark Kackley, "Our title should definitely be 'The New Golf School.' No other golf school in the country has this type of format." Eschewing the usual driving range monotony, the five schools allow students to actually play at challenging courses to get the feel of the game. Following individually structured play, the professionals give stroke-by-stroke video analysis.

"It's a stroke of genius," said one satisfied student after participating in an 18-hole playing lesson on one of the area's top championship golf courses. "Other golf schools I've attended have been on the same nine-holes of the same course, day after day. This is a challenge as well as a fun way to lower my handicap. After learning to play on these competitive courses, I can play on any course in the world."

Director of golf at North American Golf Academies, Michael Kurilko, said, "We will not try to break down a player's swing, but instead, we will build additional skills and knowledge to what is already naturally there." A former tour player and head teaching pro in Charlotte, North Carolina, Mr. Kurilko came to North American Golf Academies from the Nike Academy, where he's applied to teaching the golf skills he has developed since the age of six. His focus is on building and adding to each player's own game. He said, "We will help each player better understand how to play the game of golf by using their strengths and avoiding their weaknesses."

The schools are located in such beautiful parts of the country as Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, Breckenridge, Colorado and its international site in Whistler, British Columbia. Tuition ranges from $1,295 to $1,895 for 2-3 day programs for singles or doubles and includes transportation to and from the airport, 7 hours of daily instruction, lunch daily, green fees with cart, 2 or 3 nights lodging, collared shirt, bag tag, towel, hat, 1 dozen logo golf balls, and a take-home swing analysis video.
